On the weekend of January 18, I was a speaker at the Wordcamp Zaragoza 2020. One more year! this time the third in a row!
What is a Wordcamp you asked? “WordCamps are informal, community-organized events that are put together by WordPress users like you. Everyone from casual users to core developers participate, share ideas, and get to know each other.”

Decoupled WordPress. Move your WordPress site towards future present.
This time I dealt with a nice and fashionable theme, “decoupling WordPress”, why and how to do it, and its benefits vs the traditional WordPress architecture.
I started talking about the history of WordPress, as it has evolved since it was just an evolution of the content manager b2 / cafelog, 13 years ago; until today. We review the changes that have been made, and why they are insufficient with the methodologies used today.

In that way, we proposed, together with my partner Carlos Asín, an uncoupled architecture, to solve these “inefficiencies” of WordPress.
